Maria Menounos and Derek Hough started of the 2012 season of Dancing With The Stars with a kick. The co-host of EXTRA entertainment news was really nervous but had heard such positive things about the reality show dancer cast from her co-star and former dance competitor Mario Lopez that she manned up and agreed to be on the program. After a promising start during week one, the good sport broke two ribs during rehearsal. Always a good sport, she plans to remain in the competition and to work through the pain.
