Week three of the DWTS 2012 All-Star Season two Dancing With The Stars champions were eliminated. The American viewers chose to send home Drew Lachey and Helio Castronevez.Who got voted off week four and why? We’ll give you a hint. Sarah Palin looked furious when she heard the results of the public vote — even madder than when she lost the spot for VP in the United States presidential election.

During week four Paula Abdul was mixing it up with the celebrity judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli — giving some dance competitors an edge while others took it on the chin a bit. Asking the star celebs to push their personal boundaries and get out of their comfort zones, the former American Idol judge seemed friendly with the panel and at ease in front of the live studio audience.

Here’s a recap of the celebrity couples who were declared safe after the Monday night episode followed by a spoiler alert about which celebrity couple was voted off on Tuesday night’s results show.

Low scores for Monday night went to Bristol and Mark for their “Rock and Roll” style dance that included elements of the Lindy and the Hop — 8, 8, 8, 8 and Kirstie and Maks for their rendition of The Charleston — 7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7.5. Both women arguably performed their best dances of any show and looked far more at ease on the dance floor during their routines. Both showed improvement while Bristol showed the most uptick in perk.

Celebrity couples who were declared safe after dancing in the week 4 show viewer vote include:

Shawn and Derek
Sabrina and Louis
Melissa and Tony
Gilles and Peta
Kelly and Val
Emmitt and Cheryl

The first couple “officially” named in jeopardy was Bristol and Mark, however — not Kirstie and Maksim (even though my scores were lower).

The problem was Apolo and Karina were also put in jeopardy after the dance pro did a face-plant mid-routine on the ballroom dance floor (in front of the live studio audience and on TV). Much better dancers than the other couple, it was hard watching the pair end up with such a low voters score.

The Olympic speed skater is a former Mirror Ball Trophy winner. Declared safe but still coming in with low overall scores, the athlete looked notably pleased to not be nixed after the challenging week.

Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas were left in jeopardy. Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were in the bottom two with the reality TV star and her charming dance pro.

DWTS 2012 All Stars who got voted offMainly because her performance level was so amateurish compared to the other real stars and performers, the celebrity couple sent home on October 16th was Bristol and Mark! Finally, the Tea Party vote was not enough to carry her through the competition. With her mother cheering her on in the audience she seemed to be relieved her run on the show was over — but it was clear that she had really grown as a TV personality thanks to having competed on the show.

Smiling at the end, the famous Republican daughter of Sarah Palin said she put her best foot forward in the competition. During the interview segment, she seemed pleased with her decision to dance again on DWTS despite all the public criticism. But her mom looked shocked to hear the result and her husband Todd looked a bit fearful, wincing when he heard the news.

Is it just our imagination or does Todd Palin look a little intimidated by his wife’s fury that America has not embraced her dancing daughter as a professional dancer? God help him live through the ear bending she’s likely to give anyone near her who will listen.

Bristol has not been our favorite competitor on the show to watch for more reason than her ice queen expressions or lack of fancy footwork. She’s taken heavy criticism for demanding more in fees to appear at charitable functions than she’s even been able to help charities raise money.
