Emmitt and Cheryl were forced to do a Foxtrot to “Islands In The Stream” by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers during country music week on the All-Stars show that aired Oct. 29, 2012. But were their efforts enough to save them from jeopardy after America voted? Oct. 30 results show spoilers and performance review. Keep reading…

Emmit and Cheryl Cowboy Up Oh, Cheryl Burke… what are you doing to poor Emmitt Smith? He’s losing it, the charitable celeb and football pro who we used to love to watch shake a tail feather on DWTS before his dry run on the All-Star show hit him like a ton of bricks.

The Dancing With The Stars pro did her dead level best to get the football player ready for the Country music theme show that aired Oct. 29 but his emotional disconnect from the song was clear when he hit the ballroom dance floor.

They earned their lowest scores and the judges actually laughed at them but the viewing audience voted to save them on Oct. 30.

He was doing his best to look wistful and excited about the dance but the whole dance number was quite a snore. That is, of course, until he did his hip gyrating dance solo, that Emmitt Smith.

Cowboy Emmitt ended the number sliding across the floor on his knees and giving his wife (who was in the front row of the live studio audience) a flower. And his dance pro partner Cheryl Burke was very pleased with him.

Bruno cracked up and said he pulled the entire crowd into the fun, but you could tell from the criticisms offered by Carrie Ann and Len that the scores were going to be decidedly low. Telling Brooke Burke that he had to give his partner credit for teaching him the Country-Western slow motion, he looked decidedly embarrassed to have performed such a silly dance routine for the sake of staying on the show.

SCORES: 8.5 – 8.5 – 9.5

The celebrity couple was declared safe on Oct. 30 after America voted to keep them on the dance show.

Not likely to win the competition against performers like Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd, the pair seemed resigned to simple going through the routine’s motions.
