- May be created by sustainable materials or a part thereof (interior, exterior, or engine components); can include recycled material, organic fabrics
- ** Automobile may be a concept car, exotic, sports car, race car, luxury car, or standard form of transportation that incorporates one or more of the above elements

Now, the 2010 market is starting to show signs that the green car trend is here to stay thanks to the auto manufacturers capitalizing on the wave of of popularity green cars are starting to enjoy thanks to ecocelebs Barack Obama, Leonardo DiCaprio, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and so many others promoting the use of eco friendly transportation products.
Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Rolls Royce, Tesla Motors, Scorpion, Toyota, Ford, Chevy, Fiat, BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, and other auto makers are all working on green car technology.
