How old is George Clooney? What year was George Clooney born?

The handsome actor actor was born on May 6, 1961 which means in 2011 the celebrity hunk and silver fox turns 50 years old.

It also confirms the celebrity rumor we already knew to be true — that George Clooney is a member of the famous Baby Boomer generation — one of the children conceived in the tail end of the years following WWII and the Korean war.

We hate to warn him, but AARP will be starting to mail him stuff soon.

CELEBRITY HEIGHT: GEORGE CLOONEY

Celebrity gossip sources might not be reliable, but the actor’s acting portfolio is usually close to the truth.

George Clooney lists his height as 5 feet 11 inches — 180.34 centimeters if you are in EU.

That’s a fairly average height for men in the United States, with 5’10″ being an average norm.

However, at that height, he’s likely to be considered quite tall by most Europeans — and since Clooney makes his celebrity home  in Italy on the shores of Lake Como (where many of the local men are only 5’5″, 5’6″, ad 5’7″ inches tall), he’s nearly a giant.

Like he is on the big screen, as well.

However, before you go quoting that height, it might be smart to read further down in this article — and to think about whether or not the 5’11″ claim is really credible anymore.

He is visibly shorter that celebrity friends Brad Pitt [who is 5'11 and 1/2" in height] and Matt Damon [who is an even 5'10" tall.] On a funny note, Clooney is taller than Dog the Bounty Hunter — who is only 5″7″.  We know because we’ve seen a photo of the two standing side by side in Hawaii in 2010, and the CLoon has got him by at least a full inch in height for sure.

George Clooney says his weight fluctuates between 185.19-196.21 lbs (84-89 Kgs) — a healthy body weight for a man just under the six foot mark. However, if George Clooney is closer to the 5’8 or 5″9 mark like we suspect he is, it’s likely he has to keep a close watch on his diet in order to stay so handsome and slim.
