“This is much scarier for me,” the Live With Regis & Kelly co-host said of her duties at the gala, which honors lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender leaders.

“I always say I feel like the live morning show is just my living room and I’m just having coffee. Being at these important events where it matters what I’m saying – it’s to raise money, and you want to give people a good show but still get the message out there.”

Ripa and her husband acted together for many years on the soap opera All My Children, playing a fictional couple.

In real life, the celeb lovers got married when they eloped on May 1, 1996.

The couple have three children: Michael Joseph Consuelos (born June 2, 1997), Lola Grace Consuelos (born June 16, 2001), and Joaquin Antonio Consuelos (born February 24, 2003).

Ripa won five Soap Opera Digest Awards for playing Hayley on All My Children; she has been nominated for eight Daytime Emmy Awards.

Presently, she acts and serves as the co-host of Live with Regis and Kelly, along with Regis Philbin.
