Dancing With The Stars 2012 has been one of the best seasons ever. The episode that aired on April 30th gave one couple the first perfect ten score on the show. The team dances were both spectacular. And, of course, the music for Classical Night was over the top (as were the costumes). Here’s a quick run down of the dances of the night and how each of the celebrities did with their professional dance partners. Entering the week, there were just a few brave couples left: Katherine and Mark, Melissa and Maks, William and Cheryl, Roshon and Chelsie, Donald and Peta, and Maria and Derek. How did they score? Here’s the recap. Keep reading…

Celebrity Apprentice 2012: Penn Jillette voted off, Clay Aiken still on?
Clay Aiken lost the Celebrity Apprentice 2012 challenge as a team manager but he was not fired. Penn Jillette of Penn and Teller got the axe instead. Donald Trump fired him (alas). Right now, the person who looks like the best fit to become the next Celebrity Apprentice hire is Arsenio Hall — but only because Clay Aiken seems to struggle with being a project manager and the former talk show host doesn’t. Teresa Giudice is simply not decisive enough to be the ultimate winner, Lisa Lampanelli is not personable or professional in the way she treats other people, and Dayana Mendoza is naturally handicapped by her appearance. American Idol 2012: Did Lady Gaga ‘Bad Romance’ end Colton Dixon?
When the bottom two were Hollie Cavanagh and Colton Dixon, viewers and the judges were shocked to hear that he — not she — had been voted off American Idol 2012 by America. Dixon apologized to the judges, said he would pay attention to their criticisms when he’s making an album, and kept his head up defiantly throughout the elimination process. But really, the reason American might have voted him off was because Colton Dixon sang a Lady Gaga tune without thanking her on stage afterwards. Since he dissed judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and Randy Jackson when they gave constructive criticism, the elimination was no shock. Keep reading…
American Idol 2012: Phillip Phillips object of Jennifer Lopez affections?
Phillip Phillips took to the American Idol 2012 stage on April 18 and managed to fluster celebrity judge Jennifer Lopez with his sexy vocals. Singing a tune by Usher, the hot young singer from Georgia managed to truly own it. With a backup band of acoustical instruments, he played the guitar while seated and absolutely killed it. It was truly a magical moment on American Idol — one that any music fan would say was worth every minute of taking a time out from their hectic lives to sit down, tune in, and to turn up the volume while he performed it. Steven Tyler calls him, “Brilliantly awkward” and Randy Jackson loves him. Keep reading…
Celebrity Death: Who is Dick Clark? (TV host, real American idol)
Back in 2002, Clark hosted a special 50th anniversary edition of American Bandstand with one very special guest performer. Michael Jackson, the green celebrity who has been remembered by his friends and fans for his philanthropic deeds far more than any celebrity scandal his name was involved in, had been a frequent special guest performer on the show over the years. He performed Dangerous for Dick Clark to celebrate the memory of the program and Gen Y kids had an opportunity to learn a little bit of music history in the mix. Now the inspiration for American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, the deceased pop culture icon is living on. Keep reading…
The Voice: Christina Aguilera, please put down the Ho Ho’s
Christina Aguilera recently bought Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne’s old house. She has a long standing fashion feud with Kelly Osbourne that started when she ridiculed young Kelly (co-host on Fashion Police with Joan Rivers and Dancing With The Stars competitor) for being fat. Aguilera is the subject of ridicule for gaining weight because earlier in her Hollywood-influenced music career she had been extremely catty to other girls who were heavier than her. Rumors and online gossip reports suggest that the singer turned movie star [in Burlesque with Cher] may be battling weight because she refuses to put the bottle down. Keep reading…
