WHO IS ACTOR ORLANDO BLOOM?
Actor Orlando Bloom, Hollywood star best known for his work in Pirates of the Caribbean with green celebrity actor Johnny Depp, was born in the famous town of Canterbury [in Kent, England] on January 13, 1977. He was also the actor that played the character Legolas (the blonde elf) in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Orlando Bloom is married to Australian model Amanda Kerr. The celebrity couple allegedly welcomed a 10 lb baby boy in the first week of January 2011 according to PEOPLE magazine.

Orlando Bloom actually broke his back in a three story fall back in 1998. Though there was a great risk he would be paralyzed, his recovery went fairly smoothly and Bloom, at that time a stage theater actor, was able to return to acting. He was discovered by director Peter Jackson while working in a production in New York. He suffered another scary fall while filming Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring when he fell off a running horse while they were filming. While his back fared well, his ribs did not; the star broke one due to the impact of his abrupt landing.
