Finally, a lovely Hollywood wife and mother who has stayed chic and fashionable without looking perpetually like she is trying to be a wayward teenager. Celebrity mom Katie Holmes has been a devoted and doting mom to young daughter Suri Cruise (age 4) since the raven hair little girl was born.
Suri Cruise made celebrity fashion headlines this past week when she was spotted in Vancouver wearing a faux fur winter coat — a pet friendly style she was said to adopt after saying she wanted a real mink coat. One visit to the petting zoo seemed to cure that urge for her — and GCN writers all agree the little girl is darling.

The move to endorse the well known clothing line is a good one for Katie Holmes, as lately her movie career has been (we hate to say this because we think she;s a nice girl) failing. Her acting gig playing Jackie Kennedy for the History Channel was canceled as the script was too controversial to aire, and her last film — one we can’t even remember — just tanked at the Sundance film festival.
That’s why her move to model Ann Taylor clothing and give her celebrity endorsement to the preppy-but-chic fashion line is such a good one…
Because even though Katie Holmes is so much younger than her husband Tom Cruise, to make a reach out to women in their thirties, forties, fifties, and beyond by getting her face known through the clothing marketing, she’ll be reaching out to connect with women she wants to have come see her movies.
