Grammy performer Rihanna see through white dress by Jean Paul Gaultier hot or not?

Rihanna wears Jean-Paul Gaultier well, but was her see through white evening gown really as hot looking on the red carpet as the fashion diva expected?
Standing on the red carpet with Rihanna personally and listening to the chatter of the other journalists and bloggers, the buzz I heard was that the see through and white dress on the red carpet look just did not seem to didn’t fit with the tempo of the night.
Rihanna rocked the 2011 Grammys Red Carpet on February 13 with a whole new look by Jean-Paul Gaultier, a French fashion designer.The problem?
The other star celebs dresses were not as fromal or elegant, so Rihanna looked both over dressed and under-whelming at the same moment.
In Rihanna’s defense, she had her hair done in a shoulder length red bob. The celebrity hairstyle was darling, but Rihanna was sick as a dog the entire week before the perfromance, battling severe bronchitis and laryngitis. As such, the singer and grammy performer actually looked pale — with the red hair atop the stark white evening gown washing out her normally vibrant dark skin complexion.
Using the theme of winter white, and invoking summer island breeze see through, the entertainer from the isle of Barbados had a “fishing line” look with her choice of red carpet fashion — the kind that says look at me (hook), I have a fabulous figure (line), see me rock it (sinker).
The critical murmur of the crowd when she appeared for her Rihanna photo ops is difficult to explain, as Rihanna will no doubt be one of the star celebs voted best dressed of the night as the photos of her in the evening gown at the 2011 Grammys are definitely memorable once seen.
The buzz was that while the gown and look in itself was not one of her best, she was better than many of the other star celebs whose outfits flopped like Miley Cyrus (whose gown was ill fitted and too long), Kim Kardashian (whose dress on the red carpet left her pooping out in the fornt and looking seriously overweight from the side the way the fabric draped), and so many of the other boring dresses and outfits of the D-listed celebrities.
As such, even though Rihanna took a little bit of a risk with her winter white evening gown fashion and it appeared not to be a big miss, especially when compared to other celebrities of the night.
The Grammy Red Carpet strapless gown was horizontal lines of white lace material, submersed proportionately perfect with see through mesh for perfect alignment.
Looking at her gown you definitely recognized it was one of a kind, but it was so see through that the fashion itself was drowned out by the composition of her body.
Leaving little to imagine, the rocker was completely seen by all the media moguls and the paparazzi photogs definitely noticed.
While Rihanna is always known for her demanding fashion, this wasn’t something we were feeling tonight as it felt like she was wrapped in a garden hose instead of fashion.
It would have to be a miss in our HOT OR NOT Hollywood red carpet look book, but overall she was not far off from the target.
Rihanna is a green celebrity who volunteers for humanitarian causes and has become a women’s role model for getting out of an abusive relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
