Who is Kendra Wilkinson?
[Mar. 31]
Playboy Playmate and former Hugh Hefner girlfriend, Kendra Wilkinson, is competing on season 12 of Dancing with the Stars. She was a star of The Girls Next Door and now has her own show, Kendra, on the E! cable television network. She was a stripper when Heff founder her and asked her to be one of his girlfriends.
Regarding the stripper experience, Kendra Wilkinson was a little embarrassed, and Showbiz Spy reports:
“I kind of lost myself for a little bit. I wasn’t a druggie stripper,” she said. “I was a very good person doing it. But I was kind of still embarrassed about it.
“I always knew that it was wrong. But the drugs and everything, that’s what found me and accepted me.”
Kendra Wilkinson cleaned up her act for a time. She left the Playboy mansion in 2009 to marry NFL Philadelphia Eagles husband Hank Baskett with whom she has a son, Hank Baskett IV. Wilkinson’s mother was a Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader. Hugh Hefner offered to give her away at her wedding, but she declined, according to Biography.Com, saying she might give her brother the honor instead. She was obligated to film a sixth season of The Girls Next Door, following her marriage, but she since has left the show.
Her spin-off, Kendra, in which she talks about her time living at the Playboy mansion, debuted to the highest ratings ever for a reality television debut for the E! cable television network. But RadarOnline reported Kendra Wilkinson, in spite of trying to sue over the release of a sex tape she had filmed, had actually set up an LLC under which she intended to sell multiple sex tapes earlier.
Now, though, Kendra Wilkinson says of her appearance on Dancing with the Stars, that her biggest concern is Kirstie Alley, who judges ranked second place in the season premier episode.
Kendra Wilkinson told Us magazine:
“Kirstie Alley, that’s my competition,” says the reality star, 25. “Dancing With the Stars is not all about being a pro dancer, it’s about personality and popularity.”
“I think Kirstie Alley represents for all women in America,” says Wilkinson. “Kirstie is the all-American woman, so that’s who my competition is.”
Maybe Kendra could try a pole routine sometime for this season of Dancing with the Stars to oust Kirstie Alley from the rankings. But it’s not likely, and the athletic Playboy Playmate is likely to give Kirstie Alley a run for her money anyway.
The next episode of Dancing with the Stars will air Monday, April 4, 2011, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
