Actress Jennifer Aniston says she wants to marry actor George Clooney, seriously? The strange news about her plan for the perfect marriage comes as a shock to many, as Hollywood actor George Clooney is the best friend of her ex-husband Brad Pitt. What’s more, while still a devout bachelor, George Clooney is very much involved and living with Italian bikini swimsuit model Elisabetta Canalis.
In a recent celebrity interview Jennifer Aniston, still single and still embodying the look of the perfect girl next door, told a reporter she thought she and Clooney should get married and make celebrity babies.
The news Aniston thinks she and Clooney ought to hook up, get married, and have a few kids hit the tabloid media as part of a quip she made in a celebrity interview, says the George Clooney Examiner.
In all reality, Aniston was joking to a UK Magazine about settling down with Clooney, hinting that while she thinks of herself as the world’s most famous Bachelorette that George Clooney is her natural paramour as the world’s most eligible Bachelor.
George Clooney, however, seems to be quite content living with his current mistress, Elisabetta Canalis. The two share his celebrity home on the shores of Lake Como in Italy and jet back and forth to the United States where Clooney also owns a mansion in California.
George and Elisabetta have entertained many other celebrity couples at their Italian estate since getting together more than a year ago, and are considered a Hollywood fixture as a celebrity couple on the red carpet.
Jennifer Aniston has dated a slew of Hollywood men — from movie stars to musicians — since her famous split from actor Brad Pitt, Geoge Clooney’s BFF and co-star in the Ocean’s Eleven movie series.

We don’t think he should, but then again — who are we to decide.
If Hollywood romances are made simply by one celebrity press camp deciding a match should be made between two star celebs because it would make for some great publicity — the way Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt got together after his celebrity split from Iron Man 2 actress Gwyneth Paltrow — then it is actually the people who are the ones who decide which starlets and hot leading men in Hollywood are allowed to have both on and off-screen chemistry.
All we do know for sure is that it is unlikely Elisabetta Canalis is planning to give up her role as sidekick to George Clooney (married to him or not), and Clooney is happy remaining blissfully unattached and without kids or a wedding ring.
He and his best friend Brad Pitt are both happily involved in their romantic attachments to their leading ladies (Eli and Angelina Jolie, respectively), even if it does leave Jennifer Aniston out in the cold from their little inner circle of green celebrity happy.
As such, perhaps a better topic of discussion for Jennifer Aniston to delve into during celebrity interviews might be something like her celebrity home Ohana (which is for sale in California) or her latest celebrity hairstyle.
Why?
Because making a public announcement to the world that you have a business proposition to steal one man from another woman and offer him fame and fortune far above what he currently can call his own is — well — (even if she is kidding) was a bit trashy.
That’s the reason her name has been in the headlines lately, smearing around Elisabetta Canalis and George Clooney’s — and is a hot topic of debate for all the tabloid media lately.
Jennifer Aniston made a smart PR move for herself, but unfortunately did it at the expense of the real celebrity couple she joked about breaking up inadvertently by not acknowledging Eli. Chances are, Jen’s jest will be one more nail in the coffin of their relationship.
