Taylor Swift real estate gift to parents a $1.4 million country home in Nasheville?
[Apr. 16]
Grammy winner and country music legend Taylor Swift, famous for “Our Song” among other chart-toppers, and a cameo appearance in Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009), just plunked down $1.4 million for real estate. She actually bought a home in Nashville, Tennessee as a gift, according to Us Magazine. And it wasn’t even for her. No, this Dixie darling, just barely legal to drink in most states, bought the 5,000 sq. ft. home for her parents. And she bought a new hot pad for herself in Los Angeles as well just about the same time she was busy putting a bow on the real estate in the Deep South, since she’s been spending so much time in California. Realtors say she even made sure the new post place on the West Coast is likely to have a guest room ready wehn mom and dad head West to visit. Who could ask for a better kid?
“It’s an incredible house,” a source close to Taylor Swift told Us Magazine.
LA Times reports:
The property, built in 1925, boasts three bedrooms and 5,000 square feet, complete with a blue stone terrace and sizable outdoor fireplace. The Real Estalker, which has pictures of the place, said records show the sale went down toward the end of last year.
The new home would be the second for the Swift parents in Tennessee. They have a larger and no less luxurious lakefornt home in historic Hendersonville, according to The Real Estalker blog, which they bought for $790,000 in 2004. They also sold beachfornt property in Cape May, New Jersey, for $2.4 million in 2005 after purchasing it for just $485,000 back in 1997. The Swift family certainly isn’t hurting for property or cash, it seems, but it sure was nice for Taylor Swift to do so much for her parents.
Taylor Swift also has purchased a home in Los Angeles, according to PopEater. A source has said, “She is in L.A. so much — and she was paying a fortune in hotel charges!”
