Actor David Arquette and actress Courteney Cox might have looked like a celebrity couple as she sat watching him dance on the 2011 season of Dancing With The Stars but as soon as the news broke that he had been cast off, he made a startling announcement. Even though they share a daughter together and claim to have a close relationship, he’s actually in love with someone else. Yes, friends, the man known for his impulsive and erratic behavior has confirmed with 100% certainty that his heart belongs to an Entertainment Tonight reporter. Shock…
According to US Weekly magazine’s celebrity interview section, “Arquette is now dating Entertainment Tonight reporter Christina McLarty.”
Back once again running his mouth on the Howard Stern Show, Stern asked him, “If Courteney said to you, ‘David, I made a mistake I want to work on our marriage. I want you moving back into the house, I want you to break up with that girl. I know we have to do this for our daughter.’ Would you consider it?”
His answer? A wishy washy [likely to be ADHD inspired], “Uh, I mean, no.”
So what is right and wrong with his declaration?
For starters, he has already embarrassed Courteney Cox, a woman who has used her star power wisely over the years by giving her celebrity endorsement to the Red Cross, the Lili Claire Foundation for children with special needs, and donated to the Clothes Off Our Back drive, enough. She kept a DWTS happy face glued on for the sake of their daughter Coco (who clearly adores her celebrity dad) as they watched him dance from the side of the ballroom dance floor. But still… dating or not, why in the world he would not wait until the press willing to give him a break was over before he (once again) made himself look like an ass?
Telling the truth about who he is dating is the right thing to do, but clearly Arquette should not be declaring his love for another person until he has gone through his divorce and lived life as a single man. To hop out of one bed and into another makes his relationship with the new woman look pathetic, while he looks like a loser who can’t keep his life together as an adult without the crutch of having an emotional attachment to another woman. Any woman. A rebound girl, even if their relationship lasts.
So, while he is right to disclose he’s screwing around again he is wrong to do it.
Because bottom line, there is a child involved — one caught smack in the middle of this divorce mess. And more, who is this new woman he is dating? Because the fact she would get involved with a man so clearly in need of psychological help for his emotional jitters, addiction to cheating, and other types of erratic behavior makes her look bad. Even worse than he does!
Who is Christina McLarty? Besides being a reporter on Entertainment Tonight, she is best known as the ex-fiance of the man who is behind the GIRLS GONE WILD videos.
Ah-ha, right? That explains a great deal about her class level and character (as well as her interest in dating rich losers).
