L.L. Cool J says his quandary was how to show respect to Whitney Houston without laying a cloud of despair over the festivities for the rest of the nominees and award winners. Show producer Neil Portnow said what is true by nature for the music community is they are able to improvise and that they are proud to do the tribute for Whitney with love on Grammy Awards night. Friends and family have been left asking the big question, “How did Whitney Houston really die?” After all, she was only 48-years-old, was close to her daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown (a.k.a. Krissi) and seemed to be on the right track to make a comeback professionally. What really killed the world-famous celebrity? Mariah Carey says she is heartbroken to hear that the Grammy award-winning singer Whitney Houston is really dead. She claims to have been in tears over the shocking news that her dear friend and long time music rival was found non-responsive in a Beverly Hills hotel room. Houston died the day before the Grammys were scheduled to take place in 2012. Inside sources say Carey, a new mom and wife to America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon, claimed she was so upset she could hardly function. Jennifer Hudson and the Grammys crew have been scrambling to alter the show schedule to include such a special tribute to Whitney Houston. The singer died the day before the show and friend Mariah Carey (who would have been a natural pick) claims she is utterly distraught and is in tears over the news she’s lost her celebrity friend. The three days between people seeing Houston partying, finding the body, and the show happening have flown by quickly in Hollywood.
