The news is official. Actress Angelina Jolie and actor Brad Pitt have officially confirmed their engagement. Since he was married when the celebrity couple started dating and they have six kids already, obviously the gorgeous lovebirds have not been inclined throughout the course of their relationship to do the tradition thing… so why should Angie expect anything less than something spectacular and unique when it came time for a wedding proposal? Brad has redeemed himself for sure in the eyes of many who thought maybe he did not love her because he had not bought her a ring.
Brad Pitt‘s manager confirmed celebrity gossip reports that claimed Brangelina was finally going to be a legally official thing in April of 2012 after she was spotted out on the 12th wearing an enormous left hand diamond ring. According to them, the movie star who loves volunteering for charity and is studying how to build sustainable architecture projects for the betterment of humanity finally asked longtime life partner Angelina Jolie to be his bride. That’s great news — because despite millions of online gossip rumors to the contrary, apparently the happy couple is indeed (as we suspected all along) conflict-free!
“The news comes two days after Jolie debuted a new prize on her ring finger during a trip to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Chinese Galleries with Pitt and their adopted son Pax on Wednesday – and hours after a representative for jewellery designer Robert Procop, who created the Style of Jolie collection with the Oscar winner, confirmed he collaborated with the actor on the engagement ring…” says IMDb.
Access Hollywood, the entertainment news site, shared a photo — and as you can see, the ring is beautiful on her hand, indeed.
An official press release statement from Procop’s rep reads:

“Throughout, Brad Pitt remained heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design process from the perfect cut of the diamond centerpiece – an elongated tablet shape – to the finishing touches such as the mounting of a galaxy of smaller stones which are graduated in size and faceted to match, adding a crowning lustre to the ring.
“The full creative journey – from conception to completion – took a year, with Brad Pitt waiting until the perfect moment to unveil this special jewel to Angelina Jolie.”
Knowing that Brad And Angelina are both humanitarians, the odds are selecting the perfect diamond for her to wear on her left hand ring finger for now and forever more one likely to be one mined conflict-free. No blood diamonds to adorn the body of Brad’s baby mommy Angie!
Brad Pitt’s manager Cynthia Pett-Dante responded to press inquiries about the celebrity couple’s engagement rumors by reiterating the happy news that they are, in fact, planning on getting married.
In her statement to the press, she said the gorgeous diamond engagement really was a special thing with tremendous meaning to the Brangelina family. She said, “It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy…” but was quick to clarify, “There’s no date set [for a wedding] at this time.”
Since rumors mills and online gossip reports have speculated for years that the couple is either on the rocks or were secretly married in a third world country someplace private and away from the media, what plans they are making to wed and share their nuptial’s festivities with friends and family remain to be seen.
Hollywood Life had reported that Jennifer Aniston’s camp is talking to the press gushing about how happy the actress and jilted ex-wife of Brad Pitt is to hear that he’s marrying his younger mistress (Brad is nearing 50 and Angie is in her mid thirties, while Jen is well into her 40s).
They claim that Jen Aniston is planning on attending the wedding with her live in lover Justin Theroux — a man who jilted his long time live in girlfriend to run off with the former “Friends” star last year when she gave him the opportunity.
As for Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston getting back together, ever, after such a long time there is little chance that will ever happen.
Pitt has always been known as a man who dates leading ladies and he tends to hitch his wagon to starlets who are super hot and on the rise. Since he’s often been named the most handsome man in Hollywood and Angelina Jolie spend the better part of the last two decades on the top of lists that name the most beautiful women worldwide, making babies with her must have given him an enormous sense of pride. The fact she had already started adopting children to build her own tribe was just the icing, as he did not just fall in love with a beautiful girl — but also with her children.
To that end, the ring Pitt designed really does seem to symbolize everything right about who they are as a couple — pushing all the other bad blood history between them and Jennifer Aniston aside.
