The Kim Jong-Il dictatorship was long parodied by comedy television programs in the United States. Mad TV was one hit television show in the West that used to make jokes about the communist leader being obsessed with Western culture and loving to perpetrate human rights abuses. Saturday Night Live (SNL) was another. Here’s a video clip from Mad TV where that kookie little Kim Jong Il shows off as the, “little man with the big dictatorship.” In it, he interviews the, “big deal player” Donald Trump, host of Celebrity Apprentice. George Clooney openly supporting gays and gay marriage (finally)?
The Wrap (an entertainment news website) reports Clooney will star in a one-night-only production of “8”. The theater production will happen at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre on March 3, 2012. Directed by Rob Reiner, all proceeds from the LGBT civil rights supporting event will go to the American Foundation for Equal Rights, of which Reiner and play writer Dustin Lance Black are founding members. The show “8” will be a rendition of the same production that ran in New York City in September of 2011. That production cast boasts other big name Hollywood star celebs like Morgan Freeman, John Lithgow, Ellen Barkin, and Christine Lahti. Keep reading…

Hollywood celebrities who have advocated strongly for the legalization of marijuana for medical use and recreational purposes include (but are in no way limited to) big name star celebs like Willie Nelson (a country music singer), actress Cameron Diaz, pop music star Justin Timberlake, Twilight star Kristen Stewart, and international singing sensation Sting. Sting has come out in the press numerous times in recent years to tell the press the war on drugs has failed. The Beatles drummer Ringo Starr anti-gun statue dedicated to John Lennon
The Beatles lost a priceless treasure when John Lennon’s life was stolen from him in a random act of human vs. human gun violence. Now, band member Ringo Starr is speaking out more about the incident. On the 31st anniversary of the musician’s death, his pal has dedicated a new statue to him. The Non Violence Project Foundations says, “2010 marked the seventy year commemoration of John Lennon’s birth as well as the thirty year commemoration of his tragic death. He was shot and killed outside his home in New York in 1980.” Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono actually came up with the statue design. Keep reading…

In November, Lady Gaga is a green celebrity who has used her fame and fortune wisely. She recently founded the non-profit organization called the the Born This Way Foundation. Her number one goal she had in mind when founding the charitable benefit company? Lady Gaga wants to help other young people to develop self confidence. She’s also making strides to get Washingtonian elite to recognize the plight of bullied children who are subject to years of torture and being left vulnerable to physical, mental, and emotion abuse by mean kids. Celebrating Home: Police save 103-year-old woman from eviction (video)
In this holiday story, the greedy and corrupt bankers who tried to evict the family were the obvious villains as police became the heroes. In a day and age when more and more senior citizens are being evicted from nursing homes and assisted living facilities because they lost their savings in the stock market crash, Vinia Hall and her elderly daughter are still celebrating home at home. A 103-year old woman and her 83-year-old daughter were saved from a foreclosure eviction in December 2011 when police and movers hired to evict them refused to comply with the bank’s court order allowing them to do it.
