But the GLBT friendly celeb was was quick to clarify her endorsement, saying that she hadn’t intended to offend anyone. Though the star celeb identifies herself as a Republican, she did mention having “voted Democrat last election,” according to CNN. The now famous “Taylor Lautner is Gay” People magazine cover image went viral Monday December 26th. Shortly after it appeared, the rumor mills report had caught the eye of hip-hop magnate Russell Simmons (who promptly tweeted his support). That is until the cover image was revealed to be a hoax, following a discovery that the People cover sidebar is one from a 2006 issue of the magazine. New Muppet on Sesame Street bullied for being poor by IRL conservatives?
Muppet creators are known for introducing tough topics on societal and humanitarian issues since its inception in 1969, showcasing its cast of multicultural characters. Today it’s no different with Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization that produces Sesame Street. The organization is introducing a new muppet resident on Sesame Street, according to the New York Times, and her name is Lily. Lily is a normal 7-year-old muppet girl, but she has a problem. George Clooney openly supporting gays and gay marriage (finally)?
The Wrap (an entertainment news website) reports Clooney will star in a one-night-only production of “8”. The theater production will happen at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre on March 3, 2012. Directed by Rob Reiner, all proceeds from the LGBT civil rights supporting event will go to the American Foundation for Equal Rights, of which Reiner and play writer Dustin Lance Black are founding members. The show “8” will be a rendition of the same production that ran in New York City in September of 2011. That production cast boasts other big name Hollywood star celebs like Morgan Freeman, John Lithgow, Ellen Barkin, and Christine Lahti. Keep reading…
