She has been asked to stop by the songwriter and has been presented with a legal document to cease and desist, but Tea Party presidential hopeful has continues to willfully misappropriate a Tom Petty song to help promote a Michelle Bachmann orchestrated Obama take down. The classic rock song American Girl is always a party crowd favorite — but not one for public use at political demonstrations when a candidate claims the music as his or her theme song without the permission of the artist. Back when George W. Bush was president, his campaign organizers were asked (told) not to play the “I Won’t Back Down” song that the rocker wrote and preformed enthusiastically for millions during his concert tours of the nations. While he was not anti-soldier, he was anything but pro-Republicans.That’s why at the time he made old George W. pull the song from his DJ playlist in 2002 — as he was using it to promote himself and his political agenda, one Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were heartbroken to hear because they did not agree with him.

Justin Timberlake might have been a Mousketeer and a pop star in the boy band N’Sync but he certainly has never been a goodie two shoes. Timberlake shared news with Playboy magazine in a June 2011 interview that the talented singer might be obsessed with music but he is not even considering writing news songs for an album this year. He further told Vanity Fair magazine that his seemingly favorite pastime is smoking marijuana, claiming it helps him relax and shut his brain off from thoughts and worry about the music industry and his new career acting as a movie star in hit films like The Social Network and Bad Teacher. Marijuana news and Justin Timberlake don’t seem like phrases that should go together — considering his remarkable success keeping his own reputation squeaky clean. Even though Justin Timberlake started out early in life acting like a Playboy and dating his pick of celebrity honeys like singer Britney Spears, actress Cameron Diaz, and most recently movie star Jessica Biel, he was always the one who seemed to be the most straight-laced.

Since the Facebook film The Social Network came out, the question of whether or not Justin Timberlake smokes pot started to swirl. Why now? Most likely because his ex-girlfriend Cameron Diaz has become a more outspoken advocate for smoking marijuana and to legalize pot. The timing of issues — along with the failure of Prop 9 to legalize the sale of marijuana in the great state of California back in November of 2010 — brought the question to a head and now Timberlake has conclusively answered.
