His girlfriend, actress Selena Gomez from the Disney TV show Wizards of Waverly, was hospitalized briefly on Friday, June 10, 2011 for undisclosed causes. And by short time, we do mean only a few short hours — but that was long enough for the Biebs to tweet get well wishes with the hashtag #getwellselena to his ten million followers on Twitter. Hollywood rumors about a possible teen pregnancy are flying due to the symptoms of illness Selena Gomez was displaying. Saying that the teen couple is potentially expecting a child, jokes about the song Baby, Baby, Baby were trending like crazy on June 10. Gossip circulating claims Selena was experiencing early pregnancy symptoms and needed to be hospitalized for those symptoms – this is just after the two took a break from working, Justin on his Never Say Never Tour and Selena on her movies. The two teenage sweethearts took a very public and adult vacation to Hawaii, Texas, and Canada over the Memorial Day Weekend holiday. From what fans can tell, the celebrity couple spend most of their time in a lip lock or other PDA (public display of affection) everywhere they went.

The CMT Music Awards was a night to remember for sure with a list of stars so savory you could just sop ‘em up with a biscuit. The list included Big and Rich, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, The Band Perry, Lee Brice, Colt Ford, Hunter Hayes, the JaneDear Girls, Thompson Square and CMT’s Next Superstar finalists Matt Mason and Steven Clawson (just to name a few) for performances on the Nationwide Insurance stage. In addition, the company bestowed the Nationwide Insurance On Your Side Award to country music’s best new live act as determined by the fans. Nominees were Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Colt Ford, The Band Perry and Josh Thompson. NASCAR driver and Nationwide Insurance customer Dale Earnhardt Jr. revealed the winner, The Band Perry. The whole night was full of surprises for country music fans — and delighted anyone who already had a celebrity crush on Hollywood icons like Shania Twain, Gen Me star the Biebs, or Keith Urban. The 2011 CMT Music Awards show kicked off the night with a surprise duet between Wynonna Judd and Kid Rock but that’s not the only surprise the show had in store for us hard-core country fans. Shania Twain may have wanted to say, “I’m Outta Here!” after the fall she took coming on stage. One minute she was strutting her stuff and a second later she was sprawled, legs apart on the floor. Although Shania managed to pull herself up, the grimace on her face during her presentation left me with the impression that she really didn’t quite “Feel Like a Woman” after all that.

Sugarland band waived humanitarian LOVE flag on CMT?

Sugarland band members Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Busch were honored by their loyal fans when they were named the recipients of this year’s Duo Video of the Year at the 2011 CMT Music Awards show last night in Nashville. But they really brought the crowd to their feet as they offered one of the most inspiring performances of the evening singing their anthem Stand Up. Nettles and Busch walked onto the stage carrying a large white flag and began their song as the crowd went wild. The harmonious duo continued to sing as they welcomed Tiffani and Lexi Gilbert, two young sisters from Joplin, Mo., whose home was destroyed during a recent tornado. Graphic photographs showing the devastation left behind loomed in the background as the sisters took center stage and Jennifer Nettles handed them the simple, hand-made, white flag with the single word “LOVE” written on it. The sisters waved the flag along with a smaller version while the audience waved similar flags in unison. It was an emotional and uplifting scene to say the least. And the message was loud and clear, “won’t you stand up and use your voice”.

Following weeks of rumors, Fox FREMANTLEMEDIA NORTH AMERICA AND SYCO TV made its official announcement June 6 that Scherzinger will indeed join former American Idol judge Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, and Paula Abdul on their search across America to find the next global superstar or group to win the life-changing $5 million dollar recording deal. Amazingly enough, this Pussycat caught wind of the change in her position from host to judge while reading her daily SUN. Should be a piece of cake for this veteran considering Nicole Scherzinger has previously joined Simon Cowell as a guest judge on The X Factor UK back in 2010, right? Let’s hope so, because rumors swirling on June 7 and 8 were that Cheryl Cole got fired in her first weeks for having thin skin and a weak constitution (physically and emotionally). Battling clinical depression and a mean case of the blues, Cheryl Cole allegedly did not get along with perky Nicole Scherzinger. Adding the age old odd-man-out triangle scenario between Cole, Scherzinger, and fellow judge Paula Abdul, Nicole was moves from role of host to judge while Cheryl Cole was kicked off.
