Celebrity Homes: American Idol $12M haunted mansion up for sale?

American Idol $12M haunted mansion up for sale?

[Apr. 10]

What’s scarier than standing up in front of an audience of millions to test your singing and stage presence on American Idol? The The American Idol haunted mansion (according to rumors) for finalists is up for sale as celebrity real estate, reports TMZ. Finalists there left the haunted mansion after spooky reports by some finalists — strange noises, breezes blowing the doors open. Your typical haunted mansion celebrity home type stuff. And the haunted mansion will be going for a whopping $12 million — so it houses luxury items for affluent ghosts, we’re sure.

PopEater reported at the end of March:

Naima Adedapo describes, “Even though I’m a very logical person, it was a little disturbing for it to be 2:30 in the morning and the doors blow open and there’s breeze and wind. I picked up this huge chair and put it in front of the door and it still blew open, so it was best to leave the house.”

“The house was just kind of falling apart,” American Idol Stefano Langone told E! Online. “Ants were all over my room. We relocated for a temporary thing. We’re at some hotel now.” And Naima complained of leaks in the haunted mansion.

Apparently a would-be green celebrity Idol winner and haunted mansions don’t get along so well. Not exactly green celebrity sort of digs, although the price tag seems to differ. Perhaps a green celebrity looking to move from the east coast to the west coast (several have been moving from New York) would be interested in having his or her own green celebrity … haunt … on the west coast? It could be a great tourist attraction!

Dancing With The Stars: Justin Bieber to be next teen celebrity on DWTS?

Dancing With The Stars!

Rumors swirl Justin Bieber to be the next teen celebrity on DWTS?

[Apr. 10]

Romeo, rapper and current celebrity dancer on Dancing with the Stars with partner Chelsea Hightower, has said he’s got a big surprise in store for Justin Bieber fans. Romeo is encouraging voters to keep him in the running for the Dancing with the Stars for season finale surprise featuring Justin Bieber. If he competes, chances are he would be even more likely to make the top three than former teen celebrity Bristol Palin.

Romeo tells Hollywood Life:

“All the Justin Bieber fans, y’all can vote for me as well. If you all keep voting for me I’ll have a surprise, something with Justin. I can’t really tell but if I make it to the finale, it’ll be a great surprise for Bieber fans,”

He has some other advice for voters as well. Romeo says Justin Bieber would have no problem getting votes on Dancing with the Stars, as popular as he already is, and the Biebs already has some dance moves lined up, but Romeo confesses that ballroom dancing is not nearly as easy as it may look, and it’s a far cry from the kind of on-stage crooning the singer and teen heartthrob is accustomed to. Eyelash batting and hair flipping (what left the Biebs has of it) won’t cut it on DWTS.

Nevertheless, Justin Bieber and the charismatic rapper Romeo have worked together before. A remix of “Baby” by Justin Bieber features Romeo. And Romeo feels confident that whatever he has in store for Bieber fans on the finale of DWTS is sure to please. Is it all a bunch of hype, or do Romeo and the Biebs really have something in the works? NeonLimelight.com shows Romeo and the Biebs playing celebrity basketball together a few months ago. Maybe the two worked something out.

Japanese Tsunami dog reunited with owner after high seas adventure?

Japanese Tsunami Dog reunited with owner but more pets and their owners need help?

[Apr. 7]

Following the 9.0 earthquake in Japan, the highest ever recorded in the nation’s history, the tsunami that devastated Japan left at least one dog alive. Nicknamed Tsunami Dog, the Japanese tsunami dog located a couple of miles off the coast of Japan, floating atop a roof amid the debris of a home, has been reunited with its owner.

From USA Today:

The unidentified owner, a woman in her 50s, saw a TV news report about the Japan Coast Guard’s rescue Friday and went to the animal care center in Tomiya, Miyagi Prefecture, NHK TV says.

The Japanese tsunami dog was rescued by the Coast Guard, three weeks after the tsunami devastated Japan. The tsunami dog was found floating nearly two miles out to sea after the devastating tsunami struck Japan, killing 20,000 people. The reports say the dog, a mixed breed named “Ban” was reunited with its owner, an unidentified woman, age 50.

The Seattle Times notes:

Several weeks after Japan’s devastating earthquake and tsunami, a loose network of pet groups is working to provide many of the services for stranded and stressed animals that emergency services have been providing for people, including food, medicine and shelter.

Tsunami Dog is just one of the pets rescued following the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Some people have questioned the resources used to find pets instead of people, The Seattle Times reports, but others have said that those people who have lost homes and livelihoods following the tsunami are grateful to have their pets, which help the people reduce anxiety as they care for those animals they love.

Tsunami Dog: Family pet found alive after being lost at sea for 3 weeks?

Japanese Tsunami Dog Rescue!

Family pet found alive after floating on debris alone for three weeks while lost at sea?

[Apr. 2]

When you think about charity after a natural disaster, typically the first thought that comes to mind is humanitarian aid. Among the hoards of green celebrities also assisting with tsunami and earthquake relief in Japan — rocker Katy Perry has donated proceeds from glowsticks she is selling on her current tour, Gwen Stefani and pet friendly Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock each have donated $1 million to the relief efforts in Japan. Hollywood stars who are able to donate large sums of money whenever a disaster strikes are heroes in their own right, but there are other types of hero figures the work can and should admire as well. For instance, the members of the Coast Guard and Red Cross rescuers have become green celebrities in their own rights, working tirelessly to find any survivors even though Japan has already survived the difficult three weeks since the devastating earthquake and subsequent tsunami struck the island nation in March of 2011. And there are others — like the family pets who have been able to endure harsh conditions and to survive despite the loss of human companionship, care, or supervision. Like the Tsunami dog who was just rescued off the coast of Japan, where it has been floating alone on debris while trying to keep itself alive the past three weeks.

Celebrity Apprentice 2011: Who is Lil Jon and why is he famous?

Celebrity Apprentice 2011!

Who is Lil Jon and why is he famous?

[Mar. 31]

Lil’ Jon (a.k.a. The King of Crunk) is a celebrated rapper from Atlanta, GA. He’s known for Get Low, a nightclub hit featuring The Ying Yang Twins, and for chart-topping R&B hit Lovers and Friends with Usher and Ludacris. In 2008, he auctioned a 12-pound pendant he was known for wearing, a portion of the proceeds of which went to Russell Simmons’ Rush Community Affairs. He will be playing to benefit the United Methodist Children’s Home of the North Georgia Conference (similar to a diocese).

As the King of Crunk, Lil’ Jon already knows a little something about raising awareness and getting into the business side of things. He has brought the style of what used to be known as rap back to its roots.

Bryan Leach, A&R for TVT Records described in an interview his introduction to Lil’ Jon. “Jon used to be an A&R at So So Def, and he is a DJ, producer and artist — he does it all. He put out an album in 2000 called ‘We Still Crunk’, which was selling independently in three to four markets. […] It was like early Beastie Boys, when they had the energy of a rock group but they were rapping and it was just so different. Jon and I even referred to Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz as the black Beastie Boys because that energy is what crunk music is all about.”
