We’re wondering if Nicki Minaj drove her Barbie pink Bentley to the 2012 Superbowl where she and M.I.A. performed during the half time show with Madonna, dressed in her cheerleader attire. Fans were no doubt expecting she and Madonna to have a Britney Spears moment and kiss in front of millions of viewers. Since the two ladies locked lips during the filming of their newest video collaboration, it seemed like a natural place for them both to break their contract with the NFL and do something wild, but no! They were not part of the scandal that’s rocking the reviews of the Super Bowl. Hip Hop music star M.I.A. created a scandal. Keep reading…

Fantasy picks for X Factor judges include Baby Boomer women
Everybody is suggesting their fantasy pick names of who The X Factor show creator Simon Cowell should hire as judges. Billboard is offering their suggestions for their picks to replace Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. The Billboard suggestions list is full of pop diva names like Alicia Keys, Janet Jackson, and Fergie. Websites reporting reality TV news are saying he hopes to hire Beyonce Knowles or Madonna. But Mariah Carey’s name is the one that comes up more often in conversations. Her name is on the Billboard list as well. But what about hiring someone older and wiser like women of rock from the Baby Boomer generation? Keep reading…
Was the Madonna Super Bowl halftime show really ruined by rapper M.I.A.?
The 2012 Superbowl halftime show controversy overshadows the real work done by Madonna in the real world. In a recent press release Madonna announced her Raising Malawi charity is planning to break ground on building 10 schools in Malawi. Sounds to me like Madonna has come a long way since being the “Material Girl” of the 1980s. Perhaps that is a lesson that could be learned by the spoiled brat M.I.A. — and fans could cut Madonna some slack for trying so hard to put on a show while acting like such a good sport. No one is even mentioning the performances by Cee Lo Green (from The Voice) or cool rapper Nicki Minaj. Keep reading…
Elton John and Melanie Amaro Super Bowl commercial a royal joke? (Pepsi)
Fans of reality television show X Factor were anxious to see the new Pepsi commercial featuring this year’s winner Melanie Amaro and other big name music celebrities. During the competition, viewers were teased with video clips of old Pepsi commercials showing big name super stars like Michael Jackson and Britney Spears (joking around and over-the top performing to help sell soda). What they got from Pepsi Cola during Super Bowl 2012 was a commercial featuring Elton John, Flavor Flav and Melanie Amaro dressed up like they were a part of a King’s Court. The David Beckham commercial for H&M and Coke polar bears were MUCH cuter. Keep reading…
X Factor judge suggestions for Simon Cowell include unusual green celebs
Reality television competitions are fierce. Simon Cowell is hoping to land a big name celebrity like Beyonce Knowles, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey for replace Paula Abdul on X factor. He’ll have to find a wild card to replace the Dancing With The Stars Mirror Ball Trophy Winner Nicole Scherzinger (the lead singer from the Pussycat Dolls). If he copies American Idol and tries to hire a male rocker, we wonder if he’d try to get someone like Elton John, Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones, pop music singer David Bowie. Grace Slick or Cher would be great Baby Boomer generation women to hire as judges on the reality TV show as well. Keep reading…
Madonna Super Bowl half time show shows she is a good sport (#SuperBowl)
Guess I’m getting old, just like my favorite rock stars. More pop than rock, but getting old none the less, Madonna was the musical show at this year’s Super Bowl. Generally speaking the reviews of the half time show has been pretty mixed across social media. To those who speak negatively of the 53 year pop star, we say, chill out, and get a life. For all that is expected, she did quite well. An over choreographed performance of a long career squeezed into 15 minutes. And to top it off she had to share the stage with some of today’s modern stars like rappers Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., and crazy party song group LMFAO. Keep reading…
