The new PETA ad featuring Jane’s Addiction rock star Dave Navarro shows off his graphic tatts and hot body for good cause, but the new underwear ad David Beckham just posed for only is good for one thing: showing off tattoos. Well, two things, really. He also looks smoking hot in his underpants. But still, rather than just promoting his career, couldn’t the soccer star show off his hot self for something worth a little bit more? His wife Victoria Beckham is regularly criticized for wearing leather. Dave Navarro’s PETA ad did not aim at the clothing business though. He wants to end cosmetic product testing on animals. In a new story titled, “Inked In Infamy”, writer Ira Kantor of the Boston Herald reminisced, “The original girl with the dragon tattoo inked an homage to her then-husband, actor Billy Bob Thornton, only to remove the dragon once the pair split.” Other celebrities known for their body art that were mentioned in the article were Cher (who got wings tattooed on), Jackass Steve-O (who had an enormous self-portrait done on his back), Mark Wahlberg (getting his own initials and name put on his shoulder when he wanted to stop being called Marky Mark), Mike Tyson (for his tribal tattoo on his face), and poor Tom Arnold. Elton John and Melanie Amaro Super Bowl commercial a royal joke? (Pepsi)
Fans of reality television show X Factor were anxious to see the new Pepsi commercial featuring this year’s winner Melanie Amaro and other big name music celebrities. During the competition, viewers were teased with video clips of old Pepsi commercials showing big name super stars like Michael Jackson and Britney Spears (joking around and over-the top performing to help sell soda). What they got from Pepsi Cola during Super Bowl 2012 was a commercial featuring Elton John, Flavor Flav and Melanie Amaro dressed up like they were a part of a King’s Court. Royal Wedding Invitations! Neither President Obama nor Sarah Ferguson (a.k.a. Fergie) have yet to receive invitations to the royal wedding between commoner Kate Middleton and Prince Charles, who is second in succession to be the next King of England. Victoria Beckham and Davis Beckham have, but they have not, leaving many people asking why.
