With actors Nick Nolte and Dustin Hoffman taking lead roles, it seems hard to imagine that the new HBO series Luck already lost backing, but it has. Nolte is well-known for his work on films like The Prince Of Tides and The Way Of The Peaceful Warrior. He also starred with Eddie Murphy in the funny cop movies 48 Hours and Another 48 Hours. Hoffman had hits ranging from dressing in drag for the movie Tootsie to playing fictional character Captain James Hook in the modern interpretation of Peter Pan Hook starring Robin Williams. The Beverly Hills Cop movie series star says he’s very much alive (even if he’s not hosting the Oscars). According to TMZ, “The frenzy was triggered by The site has been spinning bogus stories about other celebs they claim are dead but are not — including Jon Bon Jovi, Charlie Sheen, Adam Sandler, Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Bacon, Luke Perry, Jack Black, Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Tom Green, Tiger Woods, and George Clooney. Green celebrity Billy Crystal has just confirmed via Twitter that he will be replacing funny Eddie Murphy as the next Oscars host. The actor has already hosted the famous awards show 9 times, so producers know they can count on him to do a good job hosting. Sort of. Funny celeb Murphy was scheduled to replace Anne Hathaway and James Franco, the pair that resoundingly flopped hosting last year’s event. While Hollywood social circles are small, the choice to rehire Crystal (considering his relative obscurity in recent years) surprises and somewhat bores most.
