Nations from all over the celebrate World Environment Day (WED), an annual holiday observed every June 5th. WED was officially launched by the United Nations General Assembly back in 1972. The holiday was created to help raise worldwide awareness of environmental issues, climate change, and the need for what eco-friendly people call positive environmental action. Latin supermodel Gisele Bundchen, originally from Brazil, and wife of celebrity athlete football player Tom Brady is challenging Americans and global citizens to go green for the day. The radiantly beautiful international supermodel, Gisele Bundchen hails from her home country of Brazil. A natural born athlete, originally Gisele had planned to become a professional volleyball player.
