Justin Bieber girlfriend Selena Gomez not acting like Miley Cyrus?
When Gen Me pop music singer Miley Cyrus first started showing off her naughty adult side officially to the general public, she did so with a really racy music video for the song “Can’t Be Tamed”. Parents were disturbed seeing the video — and many of her Hanna Montana fans who loved watching her grow up on the Disney Channel responded overwhelmingly negatively. Then the news came out that Miley had been living with her older boyfriend Liam Hemsworth at her private estate under the supervision of her celebrity parents for more than a year when the two had their first big split. As rumors emerged that she was fooling around with older rock star Bret Michaels from Poison quickly turned to stories that her mother was actually the one who allegedly was the love interest, she and Miley’s dad Billy Ray Cyrus split.
While all of this very adult brew-ha-ha was going on, Miley’s fellow Disney Princess Selena Gomez had actually been moving up the celebrity gossip ladder, making her way from being a relatively unknown D-List star to being a prominently featured Disney face. How, she started dating younger teen celeb Justin Bieber. The curious part about her rise to fame is not that she started dating, but the fact that despite considerable public displays of affection with the young star, she’s managed to keep her own image wholesome. Unlike Miley. And she is proud of it.
Regarding her refusal to act like a Britney Spears type hootchie mama to get media attention and sell albums, Hollywood Life reports, “[Selena Gomez] made it clear she cares very much what her fans think of her image, though Miley doesn’t seem to mind nearly as much. She’s determined to make the world see her as an adult.”
Now, while Miley Cyrus has been posing topless for her new Gypsy Heart tour, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been photographed having Big Macs together at a McDonald’s restaurant in New York City. They were also seen rock wall climbing in NYC, and Hollywood Life reports that not only is Selena Gomez acting like a lady, her age appropriate boyfriend Justin Bieber seems to act like a gentleman whenever he is with her. They write, “Jusin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez are making sure they are getting plenty of adventure time together – which is exactly what they did when the pair went rock climbing at The Sports Center at Chelsea Piers in New York City June 30.”
