The Kardashian sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner have fallen in puppy love after getting a new pair of Chocolate Labrador puppies for Christmas in December of 2011. Will having new puppies in the house make big sister Kim Kardashian think about making being more pet-friendly in 2012 one of her New Years resolutions? After all, Khloe Kardashian is a celebrity spokesperson for the organization PETA.
Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner‘s big sister Khloe Kardashian is a celebrity spokesperson for PETA. The organization is made up of people for the ethical treatment of animals. Their charity benefit work is directed for animal rights establishment, preservation, and protection. PETA may have called humanitarian socialite Kim Kardashian one of the big Grinches of 2011, but if the reality television star had a heart two sizes too small in the past regarding wearing fur — a future cure may have come in the form of two new furry additions to the Kardashian family.
The younger Kardashian sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner (the daughters of Bruce Jenner and Kris Jenner), each got a chocolate Labrador puppy for Christmas. The girls, 14 and 16, were overwhelmed with the puppies, and Kim couldn’t contain herself either. [No, no. We’re assuming everyone in the Kardashian household is potty trained.]
While Kendall Jenner hit Twitter on Christmas Eve to express her excitement, according to People magazine — “OMG OMG OMG!!!! Best Xmas present ever!!!!!!! 2 beautiful puppies!!!!! Ahhhh thanks mom and dad!!!!” — Kim got into the Christmas spirit as well, and tweeted on Christmas Day, “”Kendall & Kylie got 2 chocolate lab puppies for Christmas…A boy & a girl! Check out little Louis & Vuitton sleeping shhh,” says Us magazine. A warm and pet friendly Christmas. Who could ask for more?
Well, we’d love to hope that the two new pups were adopted from a shelter, but at least they’re in loving arms and not going TO a shelter. The chocolate Labrador puppies seem like the perfect Christmas gift for Kendall, who recently reamed momager Kris Jenner about all the hoopla being made over her Sweet 16 birthday party earlier this month on a Keeping Up With The Kardashians special episode, according to RadarOnline.
“Mom, I’m not going to do it! Do you not understand?” Kendall yelled at Kris. “You’re trying to make this bigger and bigger and it’s embarrassing me. You’re just giving me this, you’re just handing me this and I don’t want it.”
Kendall instead opted to have close friends and guests bring toys for donation to hospitalized children. We’re not sure which charity she chose, although the Chase Child Life Program’s wish list, through Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA, might be a safe bet, since big sister Kim is known to support the children’s hospital. Kendall isn’t that far from being a kid herself, and surely has a good idea of what would bring sick kids some holiday cheer.
And if Kendall and Kylie didn’t save the chocolate Labrador pups from certain death this holiday, we feel sure sister Khloe Kardashian is pleased, even in absentia. Khloe spent her first Christmas away from the Kardashian family, opting instead to stay with hubby Lamar Odom to celebrate the holidays in Texas, where the couple recently moved. Khloe is well-known for being a pet friendly humanitarian, having posed nude for a PETA advertisement. And she has assured everyone that she at least has plenty of pictures of the holiday celebration.
All that pet friendly humanitarian cheer is certain to help Kim’s heart grow at least a couple of sizes, as if it ever were too small to begin with…
