Strange News! Wildlife conservation experts at London Zoo discouraging monkey theft — not theft of monkeys but animals stealing fashion accessories from tourists? Some Bolivian squirrel monkeys at the London Zoo have been causing trouble for tourists and visitors there, according to the BBC. Hulk Hogan and Little People reality TV series really about midget wrestling?

Celebrity Athletes!

Hulk Hogan makes big wrestlers of little people in new reality TV series about midget wrestling?

[Apr. 9]

We know, we know. It sounds all wrong but celebrity athlete Hulk Hogan is at it again with a new reality television series tentatively named Micro Wrestling, reports RadarOnline. The show will highlight the backstage lives and training of little people in professional wrestling. Micro Wrestling currently is in production, and Hulk Hogan will be the man and mentor behind the big aspirations of these little athletes.

While Hogan is no stranger to reality television & he’s starred in Hogan Knows Best and Brooke Knows Best & the reality television show Micro Wrestling is a return to wrestling for the professional wrestling superstar.

RadarOnline.com reports:

The Hulk (a.k.a. Terry Bollea) will be the man behind the wrestlers: “He’s the guy who inspires, recruits, trains and mentors them. He’s been involved in every step — only this time it’s on a smaller scale,” his attorney David Houston tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.

“It will explore the fascinating world of wrestling on the scale of little people,” he adds. “It will show their extraordinary physical capabilities and the true strength of people of that stature.”

There is an established history for little people in sports. The Dwarf Athletic Association of America (DAAA) “is a nonprofit organization created in 1985 to develop, promote, and provide quality amateur level athletic competition opportunities for dwarf athletes in the United States.”

Some have criticized Micro Wrestling as just another attempt by the green celebrity professional wrestler to capitalize on his own antics, as he was criticized for doing with reality television shows Hogan Knows Best and Brooke Knows Best, but Micro Wrestling may do a lot to bring attention to the quality sportsmanship and abilities of little people. Green celebrity Hogan still is suffering through a costly divorce from his ex-wife Linda.

Real Housewives of DC nixed, Real Housewives of NYC vajeweling?

Real Housewives Series News!

Real Housewives of DC nixed, Real Housewives of NYC now vajeweling for publicity?

[Apr. 8]

Bravo for smart PR! The Bravo Channel is shaking up the television cable lineup by nixing their lame Real Housewives of DC series and adding a new cast member to their Real Housewives of New York reality television series.

Cindy Barshop is the new name to know when it comes to watching reality television stars. It seems that she has landed a new gig on the wild show hosted by the ladies of NYC thanks to her interesting and… artistically innovative specialty service and luxury products industry?

According to the Stir:

[Cindy Barshop] was working in telecommunications for IBM when she learned about Epilight, a machine that uses light to permanently remove hair, and decided to open her first spa in New York City in 1998 to make the innovative service accessible to the masses (of rich New York ladies). Barshop now has nine stores across the country. They like it, they really like it.

The stores have done well for Barshop too, as she’s the breadwinner for her family of three — and apparently goes to the Hamptons from time to time. It probably didn’t hurt that she’s also named as the inventor of vajeweling, a fun and sparkly crystal application for decorating the vagina — which I’m pretty sure is just like the ever-popular vajazzling. Because, how did we ever live without vajeweling? Her spa also offers “vatoos,” pretty but temporary airbrushed designs for your sweet spot.

As for what happened to the DC housewives reality show that was supposed to feature the most provocative of Washingtonian women, it seems the viewing masses found the cast boring.

While the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Real Housewives of New York City, Real Housewives of Orange County, and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills shows all did well, the Mid-Atlantic ladies fan base was less than interested in continuing to watch what the wealthy ladies were doing.

Japanese Tsunami dog reunited with owner after high seas adventure?

Pet Friendly News!

Japanese Tsunami Dog reunited with owner but more pets and their owners need help?

[Apr. 7]

Following the 9.0 earthquake in Japan, the highest ever recorded in the nation’s history, the tsunami that devastated Japan left at least one dog alive. Nicknamed Tsunami Dog, the Japanese tsunami dog located a couple of miles off the coast of Japan, floating atop a roof amid the debris of a home, has been reunited with its owner.

From USA Today:

The unidentified owner, a woman in her 50s, saw a TV news report about the Japan Coast Guard’s rescue Friday and went to the animal care center in Tomiya, Miyagi Prefecture, NHK TV says.

The Japanese tsunami dog was rescued by the Coast Guard, three weeks after the tsunami devastated Japan. The tsunami dog was found floating nearly two miles out to sea after the devastating tsunami struck Japan, killing 20,000 people. The reports say the dog, a mixed breed named “Ban” was reunited with its owner, an unidentified woman, age 50.

The Seattle Times notes:

Several weeks after Japan’s devastating earthquake and tsunami, a loose network of pet groups is working to provide many of the services for stranded and stressed animals that emergency services have been providing for people, including food, medicine and shelter.

Tsunami Dog is just one of the pets rescued following the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Some people have questioned the resources used to find pets instead of people, The Seattle Times reports, but others have said that those people who have lost homes and livelihoods following the tsunami are grateful to have their pets, which help the people reduce anxiety as they care for those animals they love.

New Wonder Woman outfit not so super says past Super Hero Linda Carter?

Hollywood Gossip!

Wonder Woman costume gets third celebrity makeover after criticism from Linda Carter?

[Apr. 7]

The new Wonder Woman outfit is not so super as an iconic costume says past Super Hero Linda Carter. Or at least that is what The Hollywood Reporter seemed to imply in an article about the celebrity makeover dated March 30. But what is the real story behind the comic book heroine and her keen fashion sense that made history?

The new 2011 Hollywood version of the wardrobe for the gold rope toting gal who fought on the side of right while wearing American inspired patriotic emblems flashed across her boobs and back side in the days of old is now lackluster at best say bloggers and comic book fans.

Proposed first as a modified sketch of the actress hired to play Wonder Woman, the Super Heroine was supposed to be dressed all in squeaky pleather looking vinyl. While the choice to wear the non-leather outfit might have made quite a few vegans happy, Americans who take their comic book super hero movies and television series seriously thought the outfit was hooker-endous. What’s more, it looked like Wonder Woman (invisible or not) could not sneak up on anybody.

Linda Carter was the actress who most remember as the Wonder Woman figure from the 1970s. With flowing dark brown raven locks, big blue eyes, and legs up to her neck, her satin hot pants and knee high boots worn with the most uplifting of bustiers was a celebrity fashion memorable to… well, quite frankly, just about everybody.

You did not have to be a man to be impressed by Linda Carter’s beauty. Linda Carter’s Measurements back int he day were 38-26-38, and she competed in Miss World USA pageant and Miss World USA, 1972 says Celebrity Sleuth magazine. The half Irish, half Mexican beauty was iconic with out without her lead role in the New Adventures of Wonder Woman television series simply because she was so lovely. Put her in a sexy super hero costume and BAM! The woman — as a woman’s role model and advocate for justice — became a vital part of American pop culture history.

Tsunami Dog: Family pet found alive after being lost at sea for 3 weeks?

Japanese Tsunami Dog Rescue!

Family pet found alive after floating on debris alone for three weeks while lost at sea?

[Apr. 2]

When you think about charity after a natural disaster, typically the first thought that comes to mind is humanitarian aid. Among the hoards of green celebrities also assisting with tsunami and earthquake relief in Japan — rocker Katy Perry has donated proceeds from glowsticks she is selling on her current tour, Gwen Stefani and pet friendly Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock each have donated $1 million to the relief efforts in Japan. Hollywood stars who are able to donate large sums of money whenever a disaster strikes are heroes in their own right, but there are other types of hero figures the work can and should admire as well. For instance, the members of the Coast Guard and Red Cross rescuers have become green celebrities in their own rights, working tirelessly to find any survivors even though Japan has already survived the difficult three weeks since the devastating earthquake and subsequent tsunami struck the island nation in March of 2011. And there are others — like the family pets who have been able to endure harsh conditions and to survive despite the loss of human companionship, care, or supervision. Like the Tsunami dog who was just rescued off the coast of Japan, where it has been floating alone on debris while trying to keep itself alive the past three weeks.
