Derek Hough will not appear in the 12th season of DWTS?

Star celeb and dancer Derek Hough, the three-time DWTS champion, has confirmed that he will not be appearing in the 12th season of Dancing with the Stars.
Derek Hough, who is the defending DWTS champion, leading star celeb Jennifer Grey to the win last season on Dancing With the Stars, is taking time off to star in the upcoming movie Cobu 3D, alongside Japanese singing sensation BoA.
Derek Hough, who is the two-time defending champion on DWTS, leading Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger to the win in Season 10 of Dancing with the Stars, will be playing a street dancer in the film Cobu 3D, with a script being likened to a Romeo-Juliet theme.
It is expected that three-time DWTS champion Derek Hough will return for Season 13.
Julianne Hough, sister of dancer Derek Hough and current girlfriend of American Idol host Ryan Seacrest, has not performed on Dancing with the Stars for several seasons, preferring to work towards furthering her budding country music career.
Dancer Derek Hough has been a professional dancer on DWTS since Season 5, and won his first DWTS in Season 7 with Brooke Burke, who now co-hosts Dancing with the Stars along with Tom Bergeron.
Derek Hough has also been famously linked to British star celeb and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole, who had reportedly been selected as a judge for the United States version of X Factor to debut later this year, however it’s now being reported that Cheryl Cole will not be selected, and DWTS Season 10 champion Nicole Scherzinger may be selected to take Cheryl Cole’s place on the US version of X Factor.
Season 12 of Dancing with the Stars is scheduled to begin on March 21, with the celebrity dancers being selected on Feb. 28.

While there are no specific charities that star celeb dancer Derek Hough has been linked to, he has participated in several charity events. In 2010, Derek Hough participated in a charity poker tournament with fellow DWTS dancers Tony Dovolani and Maksim Chmerkovskiy to support Lupus LA, a nonprofit charity organization dedicated to raising awareness about the disease lupus and also to serve the needs of people afflicted with lupus throughout the Los Angeles area.
