Donald Trump says Celebrity Apprentice (the reality television show) gives solid proof he is not a racist?

If it’s not a Birther scandal where the awkward green celebrity host of Celebrity Apprentice is accusing the president of the United States of being a Muslim from Kenya, it’s a racism scandal for real estate mogul Donald Trump. Recently people have been criticizing Trump for his attacks on President Barack Obama, and since the release of Obama’s long from birth certificate, Trump has continued to be outspoken in his opposition against the president. Trump appeared on Fox and Friends on FOX News, Monday morning, May 9, 2011, to defend himself.
The billionaire and star celeb Donald Trump pointed to his show, Celebrity Apprentice, as proof that he’s not racist.
The Huffington Post reports Trump as saying:
“I am the least racist person there is,” asserted the potential presidential contender. “And I think most people who know me would tell you that. I am the least racist, I’ve had great relationships.”
A lot of people have come under fire recently for supposedly racist remarks attacking President Obama, but Trump with his high profile has gotten caught up in the whirlwind more than others. The least racist person. The least racist person on the planet? The least racist person considering a bid for the presidency? The least racist person on Celebrity Apprentice? We’re not sure, but he’s the least racist.
Again, the Huffington Post sheds some light:
“In fact, Randal Pinkett won as you know on ‘The Apprentice’ a little while ago, a couple of years ago,” he said. “And Randall’s been outstanding in every way. So I am the least racist person.”
Ah-hah! Proof! Donald Trump can’t possibly have made racist remarks about Barack Obama, because a black man won a season of The Apprentice. Well, that settles it. He might want to tell that to NeNe Leaks, who recently quit Celebrity Apprentice because she felt Donald Trump was disrespecting her in favor of Star Jones on the show, according to Access Hollywood.
And according to a Reuters report in Yahoo! News, a political advocacy group, Color Of Change, “launched a Twitter-based campaign to persuade black “Celebrity Apprentice” cast members Star Jones and Lil Jon to denounce Trump for what the group terms ‘race-baiting.”
It’s not even clear yet if Trump actually will jump into the ring for a Republican nomination to run for president. Trump has continued to say that he’s waiting until the finale of Celebrity Apprentice to announce his decision. He has only told Bloomberg News recently that, “In my mind, I have already decided. I am going to announce. But I can’t do anything until the show ends. ”Trump has continued to be criticized as a tease looking for attention in that regard as well, with most people agreeing that there is nothing stopping him from announcing an intention.
