Kim Kardashian is engaged! One of the Kardashian sisters for whom marriage has been elusive finally got the question popped to her by boyfriend Kris Humphries. And it never would have happened had sister Khloe not helped get her over the fear of tall men with her NBA star husband Lamar Odom. Kim Kardashian overcame her fear of heights when she started having to spend a lot of close personal time with Khloe’s super tall basket ball player husband Lamar Odom — and when Kris Humphries asked her out, the star celebs family told her short or not, who cares — go out! Now E! Online is one of the entertainment journals and celebrity gossip websites breaking news that short Kim Kardashian is engaged to tall Kris Humphries, and while the wedding date has not been set yet, the fans of both Hollywood and Celebrity Athlete news are jumping for joy to hear that his height did not cause the romance to fizzle out.
So how tall is Kim Kardashian and how tall is Kris Humphries?
Let’s just say she would be the size equivalent of Tinkerbell and he looks to be about the same height as the troll that attacked Hogwarts castle and was boogie nose thwarted by the wizard wand of key character Harry Potter.
Kim Kardashian stands a petite 5’2″ tall (or 5’3″ depending on who you ask) without her trademark stiletto heels. As an NBA star basketball player, celebrity athlete Kris Humphries is rumored to be 6’9″ inches tall. That’s quite the height difference! And over it, the rumor mills reporters have gone wild.
It’s reported that Kris Humphries has proposed with a 20.5 carat stone on the ring. USA Today reports:
Humphries is best known in the NBA for rebounding the rock, and in this case he’s reported to have delivered a 20.5-carat rock for the engagement ring. (For guys unfamiliar with diamond stats, that’s about the size of Shaq’s big toe.)
On May 18, People reports that Kris Humphries was ready with the news:
Her boyfriend of six months, New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries, was waiting in her bedroom on bended knee with four words written in red rose petals: “WILL YOU MARRY ME?”
Maybe it helped that he was on bended knee. Had he been standing, he might have scared off Kim Kardashian. Naaaahhh. Despite Kim Kardashian having been afraid of sister Khloe’s tall husband Lamar Odom, Kim and Kris have been super tight since they met. And who couldn’t resist having another K in the family?
The Seattle Post Intelligencer reports Kim as saying:
“I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now,” said the 30-year-old reality star, whose sister Khloe is married to Lamar Odom of the Los Angeles Lakers (of Khloe & Lamar fame).
Really? C’mon Kim. You were hoping for it all along. Both of your sisters have been in great relationships for some time now. You were just waiting for the right time and place. You go, girl! Now you can brag that you not only have the body but the man as well. Good for you.

- Kim has already spoken to dress designer Vera Wang, who outfitted Khloe’s wedding party. The dress will be simple and elegant.
- Bruce Jenner will walk her down the aisle, but to honor her late father, Robert Kardashian, Kim will incorporate Armenian food and dances into the festivities.
- Her color theme will be silver, cream, white, and black.
- Celebrity event planner Donnie Brown predicts Kim will want white roses from South America, red-velvet cupcakes and doves released at the wedding, just like Khloe had.
- Guests will include Jennifer Lopez, Fergie, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Snooki, and Kelly Osbourne as well as all her large extended family.

The whole thing sounds like a tall order, but as event planners we doubt the Kardashian Sisters will be short on talent! With mom Kris Jenner as the momager at the helm, Kim Kardashian guiding the tone and tenor of the celebrity wedding and sure to be all out Hollywood star studded bash, cute Kourtney Kardashian and clever Kourtney Kardashian helping out, all eyes and photog Paparazzi cameras are sure to be on the lookout for more engagement ring, wedding dress, and bridesmaids photos.
