Eco fashion faux pas by Kim K at Teen Choice Awards?
Daily Mail UK seems to think that reality television star Kim Kardashian made a fashion faux pas at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards. The British tabloid claimed her outfit looked “too fussy with its snake belt and ostrich skirt”.
Not a bright decision according to the celeb gossip website. Not a wise eco fashion decision either, if you think about it.
Instead of praising Kim K, they shared their love for Twilight star Ashley Greene (who wore a stunning Givenchy dress). Daily Mail UK said her outfit proved a much more fashionable choice than the future bride to be, Kim Kardashian.
Should she send the fashion designer a letter requesting her money back for the dull snake look?
It might be more prudent to send an apology letter to PETA is the dull snake belt proved to be made from real snake-skin.
Lucky for the Kardashian sister, teen fans watching from home in the United States did not think twice about the ethical treatment of the snake(s) or the ostrich. Short skirts and micro-minis make the 5’3″ star look like she has legs up to her neck — and the tight belt accentuated her tiny waist (while the feathers hid any lumps or bumps on her upper thighs and ample booty).
Kim Kardashian, as one of the most famous Kardashian sisters, is a stalwart fashion icon because she always dresses for her pear shaped body type.
Despite the fact she is now one of the thirty-something “them”, she still is a stylish diva who impresses the young. So, while we like Kim K because of the charity work she has done in the past, we have to question her celeb fashion choices on occasion.
She’s already been through the PETA fire for wearing real fur in a recent photo shoot — and snake-skin is a surprising celebrity fashion choice to highlight in front of impressionable teen and ‘tween viewers. Since her sister Khloe Kardashian poses in their “I’d rather be naked than wear fur” campaign, we thought she would choose wiser.
