The 2012 Golden Globe Awards went off Sunday January 15th without a scandalous hitch. Many of Hollywood’s elite showed up to support friends and family members who had films nominated, and the after party scene was crowded as predicted. But actress Megan Fox and her husband Brian Austin Green were nowhere near the forefront of most red carpet pics this year; her famous face missing from many tabloid news reports focus on more prominent celebrities.
Was Megan Fox at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards? If the answer to that question is no, why not? Suspicions are the celebrity couple are beginning to struggle financially. Here’s the latest celebrity scandal rumor mills reports summary about the actress who is pet-friendly but allegedly acts abusively to co-workers…
While other star celebs were making headlines for their men’s designer fashions and couture ball gowns the ladies were wearing, the pet friendly actress Megan Fox and her husband Brian Austin Green were making headlines in mainstream media entertainment news over the weekend for something else entirely.
If they were on the red carpet at the 2012 Golden Globe Awards, there are no celebrity photos to show. While she might be in talks to play actress Elizabeth Taylor in a new biopic and is in the new commercial for the 2012 Oscars with Billy Crystal, this year fans did not get to see her at either the Critics Choice Awards that happened last week or Sunday’s Golden Globes. So what’s been taking up the celebrity couple’s time this awards season?
Yet another celebrity scandal.
Apparently, the two are suing his ex-girlfriend (the mother of his child) for not paying him back on a $200,000 loan she took out in small increments while they were dating (long before Fox and Green got married). ABC News reports, “Brian Austin Green is taking actress and ex-girlfriend Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo, the mother of his nine-year-old son Kassius, to court.”
They say, “Green has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles, claiming he lent his former ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ co-star a total of $200,000 beginning in 2000, and that she reneged on an agreement to pay him back.”
In the lawsuit, Green’s lawyers are seeking to get back all the money he spent on her before hooking up with Megan Fox plus damages (presumed to be interest). But why in the world would the star celebs file a lawsuit that sounds so vindictive in nature against the mother of his child? Why not simply file the paperwork in such a way that they could get a judgement and let her set up a payment plan to pay back after their child turns 18 or finishes college? And what in the world prompted them to file a lawsuit during the height of awards season?
The answer may be more simple than it seems.
Since Megan Fox was fired from the Transformers movie series by Michael Bay and replaced by Rosie Huntington Whiteley (the Victoria’s Secret model), her income portfolio has taken a nasty hit. While she still has income from her ongoing Armani Underwear ad campaigns, her other movies (like Jennifer’s Body and Jonah Hex) flopped as box office hits. She also has not been able to land any other big roles, in part because of her celebrity weight loss scandal and most likely because even though she made her Broadway heater debut for charity in 2011 her acting talents have been panned as not being very good.
Paying the cost of transportation and lodging as well as for entry fees to the greatest parties in Hollywood if you are not on the celebrity A-list can be really expensive. [Heck, paying the cost for adopting pets and keeping up rescue animals the way she does can also get costly.]
While Armani did provide Megan Fox with a loner gown by Armani Prive at last year’s awards ceremony, she still failed to come across in the press like a big dollar-earning celebrity. The free press she got for them was more negative than positive — not because her gold gown was not pretty but because of all the rumor mills reports she was on the outs with many of the Hollywood elite after being crappy to the production crew on set (then thrashing her producers and director to the tabloids, mainstream media, and paparazzi).
Them suing now for a mere $200K makes those insiders in the know question the celebrity net worth of the couple. Are they going broke as her career in Hollywood seems to be fading while his star has not shined since new episodes of the original 90210 stopped airing? The news of them having lawyers chase down $200K makes the report from Celebrity Net Worth that Megan Fox is worth $15 million look questionable.
Have they blown all that money she made already since getting married? Since his job prospects have been limited since the decline of his television show, they had to have been banking on her money to make their luxury lifestyle aspirations a go.
That’s the question Hollywood insiders are asking regarding why they would take the time to file such a relatively low dollar law suit in the middle of awards season. Are the celebrity couple already going broke?
