Did actor Johnny Depp really get dumped by his new girlfriend Amber Heard for another woman? Rumor mill sources like Mercury News are reporting that the juicy LGBT gossip is true — but that does not mean they are 100% correct. French model Marie de Villepin is the daughter of former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin. While the story may be true that she and Heard are having a fling, there still is no confirmation from Depp’s press camp that he had his heart-broken by the actress or that their so-called romance was anything more serious that intense but casual dating.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard in "Rum Diaries"Depp was born on June 9, 1963 in Owensboro, Kentucky.  His father was a civil engineer. His mother, a full-blooded Cherokee woman, worked as a waitress and homemaker. He has three older siblings — so the real story behind the breakup might be that he’s really good at sharing.

While the actor’s dating history seems to have his date card filled by reports of his romances with Winona Ryder, Kate Moss, and Vanessa Pardis, he was not always so consumed by dating vapid super models and cult celebrities.

He was an “odd” child who made unusual noises and was suspected of having Tourettes. His family moved often until his parents split up in 1978. At age 15, Johnny had to go to his father for the family support checks, which caused a rift between them. He experimented with drugs and music until his garage band, The Kids, became quite successful. Still, he lived an impoverished, alternative lifestyle until he married French actress Lori Allison from 1983 to 1985.  She introduced her husband to Nicholas Cage who led Depp into acting.

Starting out in show business, he’s always kept himself appearing far left of center. On screen, Johnny Depp is such a versatile actor that he can transform into completely characters without confusing his fans. His major breakthrough was in the Canadian TV series “21 Jump Street” — where he co-starred with green celebrity actor Brad Pitt.

His silver screen presence was so stunning he went straight to “Cry Baby” and a string of hit films ever since. He won a Golden Globe for “Benny and Joon” and garnered a second nomination for “Ed Wood”. Nowadays, he’s made a small fortune working for Disney on “Pirates Of The Caribbean”. And, of course, he still stars in nearly every Tim Burton movie with alarming regularity.

Johnny Depp romantically partnered with Vanessa Paradis in 1999 and they stuck it out until 2012. The couple have two children, Lily-Rose Melody Depp and Jack John Christopher Depp III. He led a wild lifestyle in the 1990s, trashing hotel rooms and being accused of having drug issues before turning into what insider sources say is a fabulous dad; she was simply known for her moodiness, demanding nature, and haughty attitude.

Whether he’s been involved with a woman or not, Depp supports many humanitarian and environmental causes. With a passion for children’s palliative and end stage care, environmental justice and animal rescue, he;s one of the most famous of all the green celebs.

He supports many charities that support seriously ill children, including  the Children’s Palliative Care and Hospice Coalition where “Johnny’s Angels” raised more than $40,000 for the charity in his honor.   He also supported Helen and Douglas House.

He is an avid environmental justice and human rights supporter with the Environmental Justice Foundation  which seeks to protect the environment and defend human rights. He supported the foundations Pop Up enterprise, a series of fashion shops that raise funds.

He is also passionate about animal rescue, care and protection. Two of his animal friendly charities are Much Love Animal Rescue  and Dogs Deserve Better.

Could his public appearances with Amber Heard have been to somehow break the ice — getting him back into the Hollywood social scene’s night life? If so, then to expect she would stop seeing other people would seem ludicrous. With no real word about the incident from the star celebs involved, the chance she dropped the “Nightmare On Elm Street” hottie like he was a bad dream are unlikely.

But — one thing is known for sure. As a green celebrity and famous humanitarian, Depp dating Heard to begin with proves without a shadow of a doubt that the star is — if nothing else — LGBT friendly.
